Any suggestions for the blurb of my latest novel: The Apocalypse crusade?
In an apocalypse there is definitely a beginning where mistakes are made and the seeds of evil are allowed to sprout and take shape. However, an end is not so certain. Once an Apocalypse occurs not even death is certain. Sometimes death is only the beginning.

Dr Lee steps into the Walton facility on the first day of human trials and can barely contain her excitement. The labs are brand spanking new and everything is sharp and clean. They've been built to her specifications and are a scientist's dream. It's where cancer is going to be cured once and for all.

By midnight it's a place of fire, of blood and of death...a death that, like the Apocalypse, is seemingly never ending.

Her name is Odd.
Twelve-year-old Audrey Wyatt bears the unfortunate nickname "Odd," a name even her bar-hopping, alcoholic mother uses when she's sober enough to recognize the girl. Cowed by life, Odd doesn't protest, not when she's deformed as she is.
Born with a combination of rare birth defects, Odd's eyes are a startling and dreadful red. Demon eyes is the first thought that springs to mind. The little girl takes care to hide them behind dark sunglasses, something her mother insists on, except when she's trading freak-show peeks for dollars or drinks. A practice that is a nightly torture for Odd.
Yet when her mother abandons her, Odd discovers that loneliness and fear of the unknown are far worse than being a freak. Desperate for the least love, and without a cent to her name, the girl with red eyes begins a quest through the American underclass that takes her halfway across the country. Odd thinks her adventure is a search for her mother, but in truth it's a journey into the soul of humanity, where she discovers along the way everything that is both ugly and beautiful in each of us.

REVIEWS

       Amazing, January 28, 2014

By Sparklesfly1    This review is from: Sprite (Kindle Edition)       This is an intriguing story about a young adolescent named Audrey Wyatt. What intrigued me to read it is the eccentric and beautiful cover page. I loved it down to the core. I must say though, I would not allow children under age of ten to read this. I'm a twelve year old child myself that happens to be into fine literature but if the child is not like this, it might not be a good read. It also may not be a good read for "over-emotional" people because characters leave a huge impact and can leave you depressed for a little while if you dont maintain a level head.1 of 1 people found the following review helpful

Please Read, November 17, 2013       By Amazon Customer - See all my reviewsthis?) This review is from: Sprite (Kindle Edition) I didn't read the description of the book before downloading it. I automatically assumed it was a fantasy novel about "sprites". I was wrong, but I couldn't put this book down. I had to know Odd's story what happened to her. I was on an emotional roller coaster through out the entire book. This was honestly one of the best stories I have ever read. I would like to see another book about this farther in the future.

How do You View Today's America?

If there is something I am good at besides writing, it would be in my ability at  being controversial  and stirring things up. I'm very honest and blatantly forward at times, and I'm sure my  fans and "not so fans" have read  that in my stories. I know everyone doesn't agree with my  views of our Country and the changes it needs, but that's ok because debate can
be enjoyable if handled in a civil manner. I love this Country and have seen the  wonderful benefits we have living here- my wife's adoption to the US in 1975,  which blessed me with her, is just one great example. Times are changing
however, and many of these changes aren't for the better. I am concerned about the  future of our Country and
what we used to call  the "Land of the Free". For those who may agree with my concerns with
the direction we are heading, I want to suggest to you my fiction novel, A Perfect America
...I hope  that it will always remain fiction!
